The dynamism in always developing new technologies associated with the advances in other fields is the main characteristic of nuclear applications. The progress of the instrumentation and information technology has consolidated the development of PET/CT scanners, leading to the search of new and more specific radiopharmaceuticals, for both diagnosis and therapy. In the industrial field, these advances have stimulated the development of an innovative gamma industrial tomography system for the optimization of complex multiphase industrial processes.
The environmental preservation, radiosterilization, grafting, curing, nanotechnology and natural polymer productions are strongly associated with radiation processing and are being consolidated with the development of new irradiators. Basic research and nuclear technology applications in the fields of chemistry, physics, biology, agriculture and engineering have been improved continuously. Other fields, such as radiation protection, dosimetry, radioactive waste management and nuclear instrumentation have been accomplished, showing their importance in the innovation of nuclear technology applications with sustainability. The IX ENAN will be the mirror for new developments in standard applications and brand new nuclear technologies with high impact in the future of agriculture, industry, medicine and environmental preservation. In this edition, the ENAN technical program will comprise a series of lectures and plenary sessions, presented by renowned national and international experts, as well as oral and poster presentations of contributed papers. Authors are kindly invited to submit their unpublished work in the following topics:
